Success is in Christ
Exodus 15:3
The LORD is a warrior; the LORD is his name.
Hindrances to success in life are no longer being accepted by many. Those who have dealt with various maladies over years are now looking for health instead of temporary relief. Those who were bound with addictions are reaching out for freedom. Couples contemplating divorce are finding new hope for their marriage. And the list goes on. As exciting it is to see this it reveals the battlefield. Are you positioned for victory?
There is a delicate balance between knowing our authority and knowing The Authority. We are not the leader; we are the second in command. Jesus demonstrated this for us saying that he only did what he saw the Father doing.
By myself I can do nothing; I judge only as I hear, and my judgment is just, for I seek not to please myself but him who sent me. (John 5:30)
These words you hear are not my own; they belong to the Father who sent me. (John 14:24b)
Don't you believe that I am in the Father, and that the Father is in me? The words I say to you are not just my own. Rather, it is the Father, living in me, who is doing his work. (John 14:10)
Do not believe me unless I do what my Father does. (John 10:37)
Jesus was sent to earth after hundreds of years of spiritual darkness. There was spiritual disorder everywhere that produced earthly chaos but he did not react to what he saw. He waited to see what his Father was doing so that the Spirit could demonstrate the Kingdom through him.
We live in a world of reaction. Not only is it our tendency to react but the media, both public and social, exacerbates it. It takes time to hear the voice of the Spirit. He speaks wisdom, healing and order whereas reaction throws gas on the fire, producing confusion, pain and more chaos.
The Father's leadership flows to us all the time by his Spirit. It is His desire for us to know him so intimately that our feelings would have no opportunity to influence us. It takes time for us to learn to demonstrate the Father's nature and will. Our confidence in the Lord and trust in his Word develop as we yield to him. John discovered this and said, “He must increase, but I must decrease. [He must grow more prominent; I must grow less so.]” (John 3:30 amp).
Of ourselves we do not possess the power to bring God's kingdom into manifestation, but the power to do so resides within us. As we allow him to 'possess' us and fearlessly follow his leading we will see greater things. A simple child-like trust enables the love of God to cause his kingdom to come on earth.
